New World: Aeternum is gearing up for Season 7, which is set to go live tomorrow. The Season of Conquerors will introduce the first themed, fast-progression Seasonal Servers, new Artifacts, new season rewards, will add a new Outpost Rush map, and a series of improvements and fixes.
Seasonal Servers are special ruleset servers with fast progression, unique items, challenges, and perks. The inaugural theme for these servers is PvP. Once you hit level 15 on these servers, you are automatically flagged for PVP at all times. there's special gear to acquire and new resources, as well as new challenges. If you do get your hands on some of the unique gear, be prepared to defend and survive since these items will drop on death. If you choose to roll on these special servers, you can transfer your characters to a permanent world at season’s end. Special items, if you manage to hang on to them all the way to the end, will be replaced by equivalent gear that exists on the regular servers.
Last week, we got reveals for both the season’s new Artifacts and the new free and premium seasonal reward tracks. All of the artifacts will introduce a number of new build options to enhance your gameplay. Two of them are available in the free reward track.
There are several in-game events set to run during the season, including the return of Legacy of Crassus and Rabbit’s Revenge.
Coral Divide is the new Outpost Rush map. There's a trench in the center that splits the battlefield and there are NPCs there. It's your team's job to build bridges and create new pathways to give your team strategic advantages.
The team is making good on promises to upgrade M3 expeditions, with improvements to end game PvE content that will offer better loot, improved matchmaking, and unified mutations that let you use a single gear loadout on all M3 mutated expeditions. There are also some very helpful bug fixes that include fixing AI movement issues and targeting issues, in addition to passes on mechanics and enemy interactions in all expeditions.
There are a number of other improvements to expeditions, Outpost Rush, combat overall, and more, with full details in the patch notes. Can expect downtime to start around 5:00 a.m. Pacific time.
