Stunlock Studios published a new Dev Update for V Rising this week that focuses in on every game’s true endgame: drip.
Acknowledging player feedback, the update gives players a look at a number of new armor sets and customization options. This includes an entire new tier of armor, weapons, and artifacts. Many of these new armor sets will cater to various combat specialties like brute, warrior, rogue, and scholar, giving players more options for putting together equipment sets that fit their playstyle.
The equipment menu has been upgraded to allow players to the ability to transmog their gear, overriding the appearance of one item with another. Items can also be customized with 31 different color palettes.
Gameplay concerns weren’t left out of the mix, either. Legendary weapons will receive a “comprehensive rebalance” throughout all existing tiers. Shards will now become powerful necklaces instead of buildings, granting powerful stats and buffs, but also a new unique ultimate ability. On PvP servers or servers with the right custom settings, Shard necklaces will be one-of-a-kind so players will need to risk them being looted to use them. They’ll also need to be recharged periodically, which will require players to venture out into dangerous areas to replenish their energy.
V Rising is out now in Early Access on PC and arrives on the PlayStation 5 alongside the game’s 1.0 update sometime in the second half of Q2 2024.
