Nvidia has announced that their latest Shield TV and Shield TV Pro, now available starting at $149.
In a press release, Nvidia detailed the specs, including a Tegra X1+ processor which they claim delivers up to 25% more performance over its predecessor.
“These new models provide a big step up for SHIELD, which has consistently delivered groundbreaking innovations in the living room since its introduction five years ago,” said Jeff Fisher, senior vice president of the Consumer Business at NVIDIA. “They deliver unquestionably best-in-class entertainment, supported by Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision and our breakthroughs in using AI to improve video streaming playback.”
This processor will be included in both of their new models, the Shield TV and the Shield TV Pro. The standard Shield will include built in gigabit ethernet and dual band WiFi, whereas the Pro will also include two SUB ports. Both come with a new remote and AAA batteries.
The Shield TV will start at $149 with the remote. The Pro with remote, 3GB of memory and 16GB of storage is available for $199. Learn more here.
