Fresh off the release of patch 10.0.5, Blizzard is revealing some of what we will see in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight’s patch 10.07, which will be hitting the PTR soon. Goblin Monks, new gear, and new high level content will be included.
Following earlier expansions of the Mage, Rogue, and Priest classes to all races, the Monk is the next class being expanded. When the patch goes live, you’ll be able to make a worgen, goblin, or Lightforged draenai Monk. Both new opportunities and surely, new memes, will follow, but this reflects the overall widening of access to various features in WoW that Blizzard has been moving towards for a while now.
Also coming is a new Heritage Armor set for orcs and humans. Both will be able to complete some new quests to earn the new armor set for their race. Finally, the last item that Blizzard included in the peek of what’s ahead is Return to the Forbidden Reach.
Now that most have had the chance to play through Dragonflight’s story, lore, and questlines, it’s time for the next step. According to the official description, this will be a packed addition that plays just that role.
“Return to the Forbidden Reach to learn more of the story of the dracthyr Evoker awakening now that the defeat of Raszageth has been secured. This zone includes new content for max-level players delving into the troubles left behind by the meddling of the Primalists and the chaos they’ve left behind among the elements. Players will encounter new bosses and objectives, more storms, new loot to add to their arsenal, and more.”
For those who spent time playing a dracthyr Evoker during Dragonflight, this will likely be a more meaningful update, but it sounds like there will be something for everyone. New loot and new gear, of course, those are always goals to set, but new content for max-level players that delves into new content that deals with what happens next? Sounds like it will be the highlight.
