New Fractured Online Q&A Covers Skill Overhauls, Smarter Enemies, and More About the Relaunch Plans

The Fractured Online team has been answering questions they received after last week's first live stream since the game was acquired by Happy Cauldron Games.

In last week's stream, they talked about their plans for the future of the game, planned relaunch, as well as broader design overhauls,  ending the stream inviting feedback and questions. Topics they address in this new stream include their plans for visuals and systems, PVE content and what we can expect in the longer term more generally.

CEO Duncan Davis says that they showed visual changes last time because they are easier to show than system changes. However, their priority is broader system redesigns. Skills, being connected to so many core functions, will get throughly revamped, including a confirmed reduction. There will still be variety and options to tailor your builds. Ways to acquire skills are also changing, with plans for their overall design to be announced relatively soon for feedback.

While PvP is a huge part of Fractured Online, PvE will get improvements like smarter enemy and NPC AI to be more reactive and dynamic. Monsters you fight may even have abilities beyond what players can learn, and they want to have more dynamic, handcrafted boss fights and dungeon encounters.

Other highlights include questions on character customization ( only one body type at relaunch, and just mail and female models to start. other races are put to the side for now), variety, verticality, and longevity. The project is fully funded through the planned relaunch.
