If you’re hurting for money but also really want to feed your Fantasia addiction, Final Fantasy 14 is giving you a chance to make things right. A new Adventurer’s Supply Kit on FFXIV’s Optional Item Store offers all characters on an account a series of useful goodies, making it great for players with a ton of alts.
The pack includes, first and foremost, a Fantasia for every character on the account. Keep in mind that a single Fantasia runs for $9.99, making it a steal. All characters also get the Endwalker pre-order pack’s Menphina Earring, which offers an EXP boost up to level 80, 99 Aetheryte Tickets for free teleports, and an emote and parasol.
Here’s the full list of items included for $9.99:
- Menphina’s Earring
- Fantasia
- Aetheryte Ticket (99)
- Ballroom Etiquette - Improper Praise #4 (/cheerbright)
- Red Moon Parasol (past The Rising anniversary event item)
While this is an easy fix if you’re trying to get some easy items for all your characters, including Fantasias at face value, the FFXIV team seems to know that we’re all going to try to leverage this.
When checking out, the item has special limitations: “This item will be distributed to all characters on the selected account,” and “This item is limited to one use for a single character.” In other words, it seems like you can only buy this once—and it can’t be gifted, either. It wouldn’t let me buy a second of this item, neither through a second cart addition nor through a second full transaction, so it seems this is on a pretty hard lockdown.
And in all fairness, minus the Aetheryte Tickets and Fantasia, all of the other items are really only good once: the emote, earring and Red Moon Parasol included with the package are untradeable and market-prohibited, as other Optional Item Store items are. Therefore, even if you have duplicates, you can’t put them up for sale or give them to friends.
Plus, those who pre-ordered Endwalker likely already have the earring kit. But hey, free teleports.
