New City Replacement Policy

The Tree of Life explosion problem has started to lessen over the past several weeks. Wolfpack Studios has been working extremely hard to see this bug disappear, and we hope it will soon vanish from Shadowbane.

The Shadowbane Customer Care team continues to receive new petitions concerning this Tree of Life bug. We are also receiving overwhelming complaint petitions from neighboring guilds when we replace buildings and assets on a server world because of this bug. These complaints are usually related to replacing buildings at higher levels than they were before, or in slightly different locations. We have also received complaints about possible abuse by Guilds who intentionally destroy themselves for a CCR refund.

To make the city rebuilding process fair for everyone until this bug is fixed, we will be implementing new replacement policies beginning today.

• CCRs will NOT replace specific buildings if those were the only assets lost due to a bug.
  
• CCRs will ONLY replace towns when the ToL has disappeared due to a bug.
  
• CCRs will ONLY re-rank town assets to a MAXIMUM OF Rank 3 when rebuilding a town lost to a bug.

These replacement rules will only remain in place until this bug is completely fixed. Once the bug is fixed, we will return to our "no-replacement" policy. We apologize to our customers for the problems and inconvenience this bug has caused, and we appreciate your patience and support.
