The Rift community team will be on hand later today to show off the new Assault feature coming with the Into the Wilds update. The live stream will take place today at 3:30 pm Pacific / 6:30 pm Eastern in the Trion Worlds Twitch channel. In addition, players can log into the Public Test Shard beginning at 3:30 pm Pacific / 6:30 pm Eastern to try out Assault mode live and in person.
During the stream players will find out about Assault Mode and Assault on the Bronze Tomb both headed into game soon.
Assault mode is a new feature in warfronts with players taking on either the role of attacker or defender and fighting their way through several key objectives. Teams will switch sides on completion of the first round of Assault.
Assault on the Bronze Tomb is a new Waterfront map that has been created especially for the new Assault mode.
It features three distinct stages, brutal room-to-room combat, and a vast trove of ancient Brevanic technology, magic, and wealth. Mercenary companies from all over Telara and beyond rush to take control of this wondrous cache. You must fight through the Tomb to take your prize, but will you have the strength defend your new wealth?
