The latest Shards Online newsletter has been released that details the activities of a very busy game studio. Derek Brinkmann starts the discussion with a brief overview of what the team is working on followed by several interesting announcements including the $250,000 stretch goals.
Clusters are coming along with the new release puts the underpinnings in place for connected clusters. In addition, the Catacombs dungeon is progressing well and will include a randomly generated environment for players to fight through. Animators are working on major improvements to character animations and a brand new trailer is in the works.
Brinkmann also revealed that Alpha 1 will be slipping to Spring 2016 with Early Access coming several months later. According to Brinkmann, this allows the team to work out issues before opening to a much broader player base.
