Neverwinter's next module, Spelljammer, is releasing on November 7th across all platforms. The next major update for the long-running Dungeons & Dragons-themed MMO sees the city of Neverwinter assailed by the Xaryxian Empire.

The next adventure for Neverwinter players sees the MMO expand to a new zone, the Wildspace, which is heralded as a new type of adventure zone not seen in Neverwinter before. The makeup of the Wildspace sounds exactly as the name suggests: it's a wild space for players to explore.

"A new style of adventure zone never seen before in Neverwinter! Wildspace isn’t a single planet, or area, and it’s not on Toril/ Faerûn -- Wildspace is composed of different Landing Sites, each with a unique story, various quests, and different inhabitants all inspired by Spelljammer: Adventures in Space. In addition, there is a special Invasion site where the players battle against the Xaryxian Empire in a race against the clock."

The upcoming Spelljammer module will also bring a new trial, the Defence of the Moondancer, which sees the new Spelljammer ship, the Moondancer, attacked by a ship from the Xaryxian Empire. Players will need to fight through the Moondancer to fend off the assault of the Astral Elves, fighting their way aboard the enemy ship, the Dirty Deceit, to take out its captain.

Neverwinter players can also expect to enjoy new quality-of-life improvements to the MMO, with an update to the Boon system, which allows players to unlock multiple different master boons, an update to the Paladin and Barbarian Sentinel, and a new interface for Trials.

You can check out the full details on the official Neverwinter website. To celebrate the upcoming module release, the Neverwinter team is hosting a Dungeons & Dragons Actual Play stream with some of the developers at 3:15 pm Pacific/6:15 pm Eastern on the official Cryptic Studios Twitch account.

Neverwinter: Spelljammer is a marked change of pace as the Neverwinter team takes places from the gloom of the Underdark and the Drow City of Menzoberranzan, which the MMO has centered on over the last couple of updates.
