Neverwinter’s next module, Menzoberranzan, will be out on March 28th on all platforms. The team announced details about the module, which will conclude the storyline from R.A.Salvatore and Geno Salvatore.

If you haven’t quite finished Northdark Reaches, which began this storyline from the Salvatores, the new details about this upcoming content include references to the events told within that module. If you’re not spoiler shy, or have already played through it (and if you’re active in Neverwinter, chances are that you have), then these teases are for you.

“Having successfully located the drow scout Braelin Janquay offers small respite to the Bregan D’aerthe mercenary company and its leader, Jarlaxle Baenre. With civil war threatening to bring chaos, Jarlaxle seeks to preserve the peace as long as possible, turning to Sergeant Knox and the brave adventurers of Neverwinter to answer the call for aid.”

The city of Menzoberranzan itself will be a new zone, letting players explore this location for the first time. In the included campaign, with the conflict at hand, there will be allies and enemies around, and you’ll have to face the followers of Lolth, among other enemies.

The campaign and some new heroic encounters are included, but Neverwinter will also add a new endgame trial, in both Normal and Master difficulties.  Gzemnid’s Reliquary is for 10 players to challenge, and Gzemnid himself is in the Underdark for this trial, after assessing you and your skills when you caught his attention. Being special has a few drawbacks, but it could lead you to some sweet loot and some new achievements. Get all of those under your belt and you’ll get a cape transmute and a title, “Something to Behold”. Can’t say the team doesn’t have a sense of humor.

If you’re looking to get an idea of what Menzoberranzan is like before the release, the module is currently up for testing on the PC Preview test shard.
