Neverwinter is turning 10 and this year’s anniversary event, the Protector’s Jubilee, starts today. A 10th anniversary being such a major milestone, the event is extra special this year.
You will be able to fight along Elminster, well, a simulacrum. Yet Eleminster himself asks for help in getting Protector’s Enclave ready for the anniversary party. He is voiced by the original creator, Ed Greenwood of Forgotten Realms. You'll have to help him out by doing a number of daily quests involving placing decorations to getting everyone ready to party. They are daily quests but even if you miss a day, you can still get all of the quests at any time during the event.
This year's event will end on June 22nd at 7:30 a.m. Pacific time. And Cryptic has packed this one to keep you busy over the next week.
Take on event missions and earn yourself some rewards, this year including a voiced Elminster simulacrum companion. Other new rewards this year include some standouts. The Hand of Neverwinter mount, the Mini Minotaur vanity pet, the Lolth-inspired Entangled Thread costume set, and Neverember’s Throne. There are also a number of returning rewards, including the Protector’s Bounty gift, along with other goodies you have another shot at like Throne of the Entwined Scales, Confetti Machination Mount, cosmetics and more.
Help Elminster Aumar to also “deliver grim tidings” agents around the coast, If you speak to the Harpers in the field you may get a chance to get two random quests based on your level that can get you some figurines to trade for Jubilee items.
Protector’s Speech Skirmish also gets an update this year. Lord Neverember Is addressing the people of the city but there are creatures trying to disrupt the occasion and it's your turn to take on randomized encounters attacking different parts of the city. For each of these runs, you'll scale to 40k item level and the rewards should match your efforts. The Elminster simulacrum will also fight alongside you. Lord Neverember also seeks business opportunities, so merchants and traders will be coming, and so, enter the escort missions to earn some Protector’s Bounty.
This is a packed event for the 10th anniversary and there are ways to share Hospitality with other players, get yourself some new rewards, a login campaign, and so much more. the login campaign will even give you 30 days of free VIP if you log in for 5 days during the event.
