The latest Neverwinter blog has been posted to reveal big changes coming to professions with The Heart of Fire. "The professions overhaul is a ground-up redesign of the entire professions system including entirely new recipes, a personal workshop, over 200 unique artisans to hire, and big changes to how recipes themselves are completed." reads the blog. Today's post deals specifically with the player's workshop.
The workshop is considered a player's "new in-world base" with regard to crafting and professions. The shop is located in the Seven Suns Coster Market in Protector's Enclave. Inside, players will find a special desk that provides a general overview of the applications from artisans.
Speaking of artisans, once hired, they will actually appear in physical form inside the workshop!
Orders can be completed whether or not the player is logged in once placed. Of course, there is also the "instant complete" command available a certain number of times per day. In addition, players can send out adventurers from the Dispatch Board and once items are gathered, they will be placed into a delivery box inside the workshop. These dispatch orders can be placed multiple times and will continue to run if and until the delivery box is full, so it's wise to remember to empty it out from time to time.
With the workshop and the overall changes, we’re making professions something that you can make your own. Your artisans, your workshop. The system is still about managing artisans who craft goods for you, but it should be less tedious and more immersive.
