Reports from some PC Neverwinter players made it clear that some couldn’t start their game clients, while others had crashes. The game is set for emergency maintenance today to address the issues, yet even that has been delayed after additional technical issues arose.
The Neverwinter team is promising to fix these issues as soon as possible, and indeed, yesterday, Cryptic set downtime for emergency maintenance originally intended to happen this morning. The team has been updating the community via social media and the forums on what’s happening. Before they could start, however, the maintenance got delayed.
“ We have encountered technical issues that will delay the start of today's server maintenance on #NWPC. We will keep you updated as soon as we will have more information about this. Thanks again for your patience!” the team said in a tweet.

Following the March 28th release of the latest module, Menzoberranzan, various bug reports have been shared by players describing inability to launch the game, freezes, and crashes on PC. That said, these issues don’t affect the whole playerbase, but it’s enough that Cryptic is having to address as a priority.
There’s still no word on when we can expect the maintenance period to begin, but in response to the delay, a player asked if several announced perks would actually happen. Tweets on those perks, which were set to start today, were deleted in order to keep all of the info on the PC access issues on top. These perks include a Stone of Health gift from the Wondrous Bazaar, a sale on Zen Market items, and a 2x SKT currency bonus promotion.
Once the PC issues are fixed and things are up and running as expected, those will go into effect. As for the work itself, the Neverwinter team will announce when they’re ready for the maintenance, with estimated downtime still at two hours.
