Neverwinter has brought the spooky season to Faerun, hosting a Masquerade and the Contest of Liars to celebrate. The events start on October 21st and give players the chance to show their spooky side and earn some rewards in the process.

The Masquerade of Liars brings new daily quests to complete, such as the Trade of Treats, which sees players earn Liar's Charms from pumpkins and taking out enemies. These charms can be traded in for in-game items, such as Illusionist's Bags, Masquerade Tokens and more.

"For this Daily Quest, players can obtain Liar's Charms from interacting with pumpkins around Protector’s Enclave as well as from killing enemies. They will then have to find Masquerade Illusionists, who wander the streets, entertain citizens and trade them Liar's Charms. Players will have to trade Charms to different Illusionists to receive Illusionist’s Bags, which contain two to three Masquerade Tokens, refinement items for the Illusionist’s Mask and perhaps a Beholder Piñata. After you complete your daily quests, you'll still be able to trade Liar's Charms to Illusionists for additional bags! One Liar’s Charm can also be traded for one Masquerade Token with the Masquerade Master."

The Contest of Liars takes place during the Masquerade of Liars event and will see players interact with three different factions to earn rewards. There are a few changes this year, such as the change of some of the teams players can interact with during the event, such as the Clan of the Fallen let by Felseah the Artful.

"NOTE: Starting this year, Teams are no longer split on platforms based on prior years winning teams. Each year the oldest team will be removed and a new team introduced.

This year’s new team is the Clan of the Fallen, led by Felseah the Artful. They will be joined by the Madcap Mashers, led by D’Mond Ichor and Toil & Trouble, led by Witchy Wanda. All three teams can now be found in the main event dais in Protector’s Enclave."

As far as what you can earn, you could see yourself sporting a new Fancy Owlbear costume, as well as grab the new Mask of the Fallen from the Contest.

The event runs through November 4th, giving players plenty of time to trick and treat across the Sword Coast. And if you're looking for something to break up your festivities, you can check out the Preview of Temple of the Spider starting on October 18th through October 20th.
