NetMarble & Wizards of the Coast Collaborating on Magic: The Gathering Mobile

Wizards of the Coast has announced a partnership with NetMarble to bring Magic: The Gathering Mobile to life. Formerly known as "Project M", the game is a real-time multiplayer battle game that brings elements to bear from other successful Netmarble mobile game such as Star Wars: Force Arena and Marvel: Future Fight. The two companies are working in close collaboration with one another on the design and animations to bring Magic: The Gathering to life in new ways.

Project M players will get to choose their Planeswalker, modify their deck of creatures and spells, and show off their creativity and strategy as they battle across the planes of the MTG Multiverse. Each creature & Planeswalker will be fully animated as they race across the battlefield to defeat their opponent.

We don't know much else about the forthcoming game, including whether or not it is a MOBA or some other genre of mobile game. It is obviously, just by the description alone, not a TCG / CCG. However, developers have promised to release more information as the game progresses towards release.
