NetEase Games has dropped a new trailer revealing that Marvel’s fan favorite psychic ninja, Psylocke, will be joining the Marvel Rivals roster when the game launches later this year. Those paying close attention will also notice a brief tease for what looks to be Moon Knight at the end of the video.
In Marvel Rivals, players will play a feudal warrior version of Psylocke that has been ripped from her reality via the Timestream Entanglement. Psylocke is a Duelist (DPS) character with the ability to manifest a variety of psionic weapons, including crossbows and shurikens, to go alongside her trusty odachi.
Psylocke can dash to close the distance with her foes and will also be the first Duelist to have the ability to cloak herself and become invisible. Psylocke’s ultimate will enable her to dash across the battlefield and cut down her foes.
This iteration of Psylocke is inspired by Peach Momoko’s Demon Days: X-Men comic book with her Marvel Rivals design developed in collaboration with Momoko. Japanese voice actress Alpha Takahashi, with credits in games such as Cyberpunk 2077, will lend her voice to Psylocke in the game.
Marvel Rivals comes to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on December 6.
