Need for Speed World Preview Reveals Progression, Modes

The folks at HEXUS Gaming attended EA's 2010 Summer Showcase event and came back with some interesting tidbits of information on EA's upcoming racing MMO based on the Need for Speed IP.

Need for Speed World will feature three game modes: Race, Pursuit (yep, the cops are back!), and Exploration. Players can even practice in a single player mode to get their bearings and can then hop online into any of the three aforementioned modes. According to HEXUS, system requiremenst will be on the low end as well, with requirements as low as a 3GHZ Pentium 4 and a 7800GTX.

The HEXUS team got some face time with Need for Speed World Lead Producer Jean-Charles Gaudechon and learned that the game will feature RPG-like progression as well as a number of social media elements, such as the ability to find your Need for Speed World friends online via Facebook.
