UPDATE: Blizzard reps have confirmed with Venture Beat that Josh Mosqueira has left Blizzard as of today and the job posting is to secure his replacement.
“With Diablo III in a good place at this point, Josh [Mosqueira] felt that now was a good time to pursue other opportunities with minimal impact to the team. We’ll be filling the director role either from within Blizzard or externally.
Josh made many contributions during his time here, and we loved working with him. We wish him all the best and look forward to his future work.
It seems that this year's Blizzcon may have some good news for fans of the Diablo series with the new job posting on the corporate site that seeks a Game Director. The project is considered an "unannounced project - Diablo" and coule be either an expansion to Diablo 3 or perhaps even Diablo 4.
It is fascinating, however, to wonder where the current Diablo 3 game director, Josh Mosqueira, is and whether or not he's still with the project and Blizzard.
Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a game director with outstanding communications skills, proven experience in creative direction, strong ability in system design, and a stellar track record of shipping AAA games to lead the Diablo series into the future.
Last fall, Blizzard also advertised for a Senior Character Artist, Lighting Artist and a Senior Concept artist.
Check it out on the Blizzard corporate site.
Thanks, Volgore! (via PCGamesN)
