A new Necromancy conjure is here in RuneScape. The Phantom Guardian debuts today, in an update that also tweaks the recent Skilling changes, and fixes some issues.
Necromancy has a brand new conjure since the combat style launched just over a year ago. If you need a little help while you are out there, conjure this Guardian to bolster your defenses. Conjure a Phantom Guardian from the Underworld, it will protect you by reducing some of the damage you take up to a certain cap. This means core damage types have up to a 5% reduction. When the guardian is active, when you’re attacked, they’ll gain Valour stacks. Use those stacks to enhance their Command ability when you unlock it.
Commend Phantom Guardian adds a little offense into the mix if you need it. When using this ability, the guardian will use energy stored in its shield to unleash an attack. This will hit a main target and reverberate and hit up to four additional enemies around it. Those Valour stacks? You’ll get a major damage boost by consuming all of them.
This is the major part of this week's update, some of the other changes are more practical and helpful. The recent Skilling update that boosted the level cap for Mining and Smithing gets a few adjustments. Progress for primal armour spikes has been adjusted to the correct level to be similar to elder rune armour spikes. Now, when disassembled, primal equipment will have a slightly higher chance to materials than elder rune equipment. Members can't heat their unfinished smithing items on free to play worlds.
Some items have made it into the rotation of what's available to Iron Man players. Finally,
“Replaced the force walk tiles at the jade vine patch with blocking tiles to prevent players walking through bushes”.
