NCSoft has conducted a South Korean media day to announce a number of new games including the much-rumored Aion 2 as well as Blade & Soul 2. While many of the announced titles are MMOs, they are all mobile titles. NCSoft announced Aion 2, Blade & Soul 2, Blade & Soul M, Blade & Soul S, and Lineage 2M. No word was mentioned about "Project TL", a game that MMOCulture likened to a reboot of Lineage Eternal.
There is no mention of if, or when, any of the titles below will move westward, though it is presumed that most will in time.
Aion 2 builds on the original PC game's narrative, though factions are removed based on a story that takes place 900 years ahead of Aion.
Blade & Soul 2 is the direct sequel to the PC game and propels the story into a future timeline. New characters and zones will be introduced and developers are promising "smarter monsters" to build a new gameplay experience.
Blade & Soul M will bring the PC experience to mobile devices and it is being retooled for mobile by the PC game's original development studio .
Blade & Soul S is more of a "chibi-like" interpretation of the game. It's based on the original game, though set few years ahead of its timeline. It appears to be more of a "hero collection" game.
Lineage 2 M is a "reinterpretation" of Lineage 2 for PC. Players will have a vast territory to explore, try out over 30 classes and be able to engage in RvR action.
Thanks as always to MMOCulture for the info & videos! Head on over to read more details about each game!
