The upcoming battle royale, Naraka: Bladepoint has released a tutorial for those looking to jump into the upcoming open beta tomorrow. However, the tutorial isn't really about how to play, rather how to look good whilst doing so.
The battle royale released a tutorial on how to create your character ahead of tomorrow's beta, showing players the ways they can truly make themselves unique while zipping around the battlefield during the weekend's testing. You can customize your hero's look using various tools and sliders in the character cusomization, though by MMO standards it does feel a little lacking.
??Character Creation 101??We've prepared a tutorial for Character Creation Function, check it out here: https://t.co/TaMUz5nEuIHere's an example of #NARAKABLADEPOINT asymmetrical face editing, we're eager to see your #FACEOFNARAKA in Character Creation Contest! pic.twitter.com/da0abiAB9y— NARAKA: BLADEPOINT (@NARAKATHEGAME) April 22, 2021
However, for a battle royale it actually doesn't look half bad. You can change things like hair color, style or even the distance of your eyes, in the effort to create the coolest looking character of all. When you consider too that Naraka will be running a character creation contest during the beta this weekend, the tutorial does make some sense.
The contest itself will run from April 23rd through the 30th and will see players Tweeting out screenshots of their characters up close in order to try to win one of a few Amazon $50 gift cards (or equivalent Steam card according to the event rules). The team will be picking winners from male, female and celebrity face creations, as well as an WTF face, though the exact criteria of what a WTF face would be isn't really all that clear.
Naraka: Bladepoint will be hosting its Forerunner Open Beta this weekend, giving players the chance to go hands on the high-flying battle royale. Bladepoint was first unveiled during The Game Awards in 2019 and the battle royale shows a different way to play in the genre, from grappling from rooftop to rooftop, dealing death from above, to honorable duels among swordsmen. You can check out the details for the beta on the game's Steam page.
