Naraka : Bladepoint’s weekend-only co-op Showdown campaign mode is getting new content starting this week, adding some more depth to the PvE mode and giving players more options in addition to the classic battle royale.
The update will go live on October 28th and Showdown: Chapter II will add new playable heroes, new enemies, and new mechanics and systems. With Shwodown, Omni’s minions have evolved so there are new enemies and challenges across new stages, all designed for co-op play.
The first new stage, Desert Tribulations, features hordes of enemies and a new mini-boss called the Stone Monster. The second new stage, Immovable, is inspired by tower defense game mechanics. You’ll have to collaborate with your teammates to build and fight. The final new stage, Toppled Mountains, features Omni’s second incarnation, called Omnius Rock.
This update for the weekend-only mode is also getting some new playable heroes. Assassin Matari and Temulch, the juggernaut will be available choices, joining Viper, Valda, Kurumi, and Tarka. With the additional heroes come even more opportunities to customize them and the overall team composition. Souljades will be a part of Showdown mode, letting you raise heroes’ stats and Sense when needed.
The arrival of the Showdown PvE co-op mode, with its lore and narrative, heroes, and mechanics, has been successful, and extending the availability of the mode with new challenges is the next step.
If you’re looking for even more ways to play, the update also brings Racing and Doom modes. Participate and take on these new challenges and you could get your hands on the Flaming Ash Burning katana skin.
The new update will be live on October 28th on PC, as well as the game’s most recent new platforms, Xbox Series X|S.
