Naraka: Bladepoint is marking Lunar New Year and introducing a brand new hero: Shayol Wei, the Justice Vigilant. There’s also the return of the special Bruce Lee collaboration.
The Year of the Dragon in Naraka: Bladepoint is starting with the return of the Bruce Lee collaboration series, this time with new additions. The “Dragon Shadow” cosmetic series is coming for a limited time, and features outfits inspired by Bruce Lee. The Dragon Will cosmetic series, which is already stocked in the shop, will get special discounts during this event period.
To further celebrate the new year, there are in-game events and the ability to score some Red Envelopes with luck gifts like emotes, avatars, and other items. every hour, these red envelopes will start raining down on the game's lobbies and you can grab some free goodies. You can also trigger your own Red Envelope rain by spending in-game currency. There will be daily login rewards and you'll be able to collect food for the Four Heavenly Gods during the Spring Festival Flavour event for additional rewards.
Shayol Wei, the Justice Vigilant, is the game’s newest hero. Originally announced at Naraka Fest, she wields the Black Tortoise Shield and uses it to block strikes, generating charges for her to use. When using charges that she builds up she can negate attacks (with Black tortoise Block) and also marks some of her enemies to let her engage in Long Range follow-up attacks with precision. Watch her knock enemies up into the air, including when she's already under attack, and use her other skills to make sure there's no escape.
Her lore specifies that she has been having the same dream since she was a child where she was lost in a misty maze that she later escaped “thanks to a mystic golden blade and her sense of justice”. The team says that pursuit comes through in her gameplay, and in her new trailer, we see how this comes through.
