If you haven’t gotten into Naraka: Bladepoint just yet, it’s easier than ever to get started since the game has just gone free to play, and landed on PlayStation 5. The game released on Xbox last yearl and now PlayStation 5 owners can enjoy all of the action.
After selling more than 20 million copies worldwide since its launch two years ago, Naraka: Bladepoint is not only one of today’s most popular battle royale games, but the team at 24 entertainment has worked to add a number of additional features, crossovers, events, and even some limited-time and PVE content to take on.
While a battle royale is often massive in scale, there’s a lot of detail to check out that is inspired by Eastern legends, from heroes to structures. A new lobby, Fairyland Penglai, is available, and there are a few social features, minigames, and even musical instruments to play in the new lobby space. Make your way around the interactive scene, compete in parkour sky-high racing, Find some surprises, and come back down to play some instruments and take photos with the photo mode that you can share.
Setting Naraka: Bladepoint apart, combat is melee-focused, and there are a number of ways to customize your build, and customize your hero’s kit and weapon before setting out into the varied environments in the action-packed game. There’s even a new weapon to get your hands on – Dual Halberds.
With the arrival of the free to play model, there's also a new specialized practice mode that should help new players to gain an understanding of how everything in the gamw works. You'll be able to go through the tutorials and watch demos and start in the free training mode. There are 23 training exercises to complete and learn the ropes to prepare for the real battles to come.
You can also choose to upgrade your version to Standard, Deluxe, or Ultimate for special perks. The team is running a 40% off sale from now through August 9th on these upgrades. Players tho bought tht game and had accounts prior to the change will get special rewards.
