Naraka: Bladepoint is getting a huge new map, Holoroth, a new season, and several major new features on August 19th. The new features include a weather system, a brand new area, interactive objects that you can use, new combat experiences, including aerial combat, and much more.
As the game, which recently also debuted on Xbox, heads towards its first anniversary, looks like 24 Entertainment is going big. The new map of Holoroth is the center of the update, and the terrain will matter a lot.
This new update is adding a lot of different options, so with the map being so huge, there are many new features set against some pretty territory. but you'll have to give thought to how you play and how you interact with your surroundings, while still keeping ahead of your enemies.
From the snow to the unforgiving sandstorms of the desert, weather and climate will play a part in strategy and even luck, while objects like falling rocks and vines that you can interact with, can also tilt the battle in your favor if you use them at the right times. When you’re in the snow, which can get pretty deep and be unforgiving in how much it slows you down, you’ll have to pay attention and not get overexposed to the cold and get yourself to a campfire to warm up in time.
With the new map there are also new combat experiences, and you will be able to try out aerial combat for the first time on the floating platforms around the Plumed Castle on this map. Leap across chasms and fight in all new ways, and then make your way over to other areas of the new map, like the city of Tang and urban Mehtaab, which have buildings that you can climb and use to your advantage. This might include aerial combat or gaining cover for ranged attacks, before you switch to melee again.
