At the recent Microsoft and Bethesda Showcase, it was announced that Naraka: Bladepoint would be making its debut on Xbox Series X|S and landing on Xbox Game Pass. Today, the battle royale game is out, with optional cross-play.
For a game that released last August, Naraka: Bladepoint has sold over 10 million copies, so there’s already a huge player base baked in. Cross play with the PC version is available now that the game is out on Xbox, but it is optional. Players on Xbox can play with PC players to team up or compete, but you don't have to play with players on the other platform. But if you have friends who are already playing on PC and you're more of a console gamer, now you can play together.
For this Xbox launch the team has optimized the UI and the gameplay, as well as a new Dolby and Dolby Atmos stereo sound. Along with these optimizations, the Xbox launch also brings a new weapon. The Dual Blades, which is the first double handed weapon in Naraka: Bladepoint, and will let you attack others with high speed and multi-hit combos. The weapon will be available on both PC and console.
Omni’s Nightmare is also back, with the zombie mode having received some updates. Pick two skills to take you through the match and choose your faction before you start. Your faction choice will help influence who gets assigned to which team. If you have a preference which side you want to be on, this should give you an edge.
Aside from the Xbox release, the the 24 Entertainment team is also planning additional summer updates to come, with a new campaign mode on the way.
