Naraka: Bladepoint’s latest new hero, Lyam Liu, lands today with his gold and magnetism inspired kit. The game also adds new events, Showdown updates, balance changes, and more.
Lyam Liu is the centerpiece of the new update. He uses gold as his weapon of choice, inspired by his family history. Using his Magnet Repel skill, he can knock back nearby enemies and take a quick hop backwards to get out of danger. With Magnet Attract, he aims magnetic power at enemies, to pull them to him. Metal Fusion is another skill that knocks enemies back. This one has a twist though. This consumes 40% of Lyam's Rage and lets him transmute into a golden state for 30 seconds. This also lets you use a special skill that presents an Auric sword to use. Metal Fusion: Core is another version of this that also knocks back, and sends him into the golden state. There are a number of intricacies to his kit, including related powers that he can choose to use when he's in this golden state.
With his arrival, the shop has some new packs that you can take advantage of to add Lyam directly to your roster. There's also a new Golden Radiance event to take part in, where if you complete some daily quests you have a chance to get Lyam Liu trial vouchers and Azure rings. Another limited time event with this update is exclusively for PlayStation players, it's the 5th PlayStation tournament and it starts tomorrow and runs through June 5th. Complete weekly quests for ranks, glory, and Honor Medals.
Aside from a number of fixes and balance changes, the update starts some in-game changes for PvE mode Showdown. Primarily, the Souljade recasting system will be overhauled. Changes include having two types of recasting, Attribute Type or Attribute Value, and recasting Souljades will no longer be restricted by attributes on the material Souljades. These changes are intended to improve build variety, and to ease the transition both systems will be available together for a limited time.
