Nakara: Bladepoint is heading into Season 12, and with the free-to-play battle royale comes a new game mode that gives those interested in a battle royale a chance to dive in without the stress of the main game.
The new mode is called Hot Potato Counter, and this turn-based mode turns the battle royale into a game of high-stakes dodgeball. The team that hits the most opponents and gains the most points before the end of the match takes the win. This is a nice break from what fans know from a “normal” battle royale, and gives new players an opportunity to learn the ropes within Nakara Bladepoint before diving into the main mode.
For those growing a bit tired of the hectic and non-stop madness that is the original battle royale, the developers also mention they are working on a new casual game mode, though they aren’t releasing any major details as to what we can expect from the mode at this time. They do mention that the 5x Rage Vajra’s match has become quite popular, so they may be working on a mode similar to that and enhancing it for a more cohesive and relaxing experience for those trying to venture away from ranked mode.
With several events to hit the game, such as the Easter event, there are plenty more things to enjoy while awaiting the new content. For those who have yet to take a gander at the roadmap for 2024, several new heroes and weapons will be making their way into the battle royale throughout the year.
Speaking of new heroes, Naraka's season 12 preview revealed the latest hero - Lyam Liu. This new hero is, in effect, a metal bender, able to control metal itself. The latest season also heralds a change coming to how heroes are released, as now they will hit the play test server at the beginning of the season rather half-way through. Liu will be playable when the new season starts on April 18th.
