Myth of Empires is previewing more of first new civilization. The multiplayer war sandbox is expected to add Greece with its first DLC in July.

Greece and Persia are the first two additional civilizations announced, both for 2024. Developer Angela Game is previewing more of what’s on the way, with new buildings coming, armor, and more.

Since this is a sandbox war survival title, building and crafting are important elements of the experience, and one of the additions on the way are brand new building parts. You'll be able to build out new buildings, new fortresses, and other types of structures in Greek styles.  Maybe you've wanted to create a brand new home base for yourself and add a few columns and different roof styles, and maybe some decorative pieces.

Myth of Empires combines Greek architecture with gameplay mechanics to be sure that the new offerings also suit the practical and defensive purposes they’re needed. One example given in a blog on the DLC shared on the game’s Steam page is making the Greek roofs more sloped in order to make them fit better with the Eastern architecture already in the game. The roofs are generally flatter, so adding a bit of a slope is like a compromise.

The team also showed off some of the Greek armor, including a light steel armor with a helmet inspired by real 6th century designs, and a heavy steel armor set. Both sets feature inspiration from both historical designs and from movies and books covering the era, so maybe there’s something you might recognize if you love watching movies about Ancient Greece.

They’re still working on making sure all of the building parts and recipes work. The Greece DLC is still in the finishing stages, but the Myth of Empires team is aiming to release it in July.
