Myth of Empires is getting ready for its launch on February 21st, with a brand new trailer showing off some of the new gameplay features, the new map, and more on the way.
The coming soon trailer shows off v 1.0 of the multiplayer war survival sandbox, which will offer the opportunity to build your base, create and grow a community, build and strengthen a stronghold and prepare for war. Or maybe you’ll prepare for the growth of a community that protects each other from the challenge of sieges. As a sandbox, you’ll get to choose how you play.
Whether you’re looking to build, fight and conquer your way to an empire of your own, or to build a location that will house a community, the trailer certainly shows off a lot of war. Still, at points, we do get glimpses of building, resource gathering, and even other aspects like taming and riding mounts. There's also a look at mounts, as well as different options like warships, and the ability to travel with hang gliders, and things like flying lanterns. For those set on the battlefield, the trailer also shows off a slew of options there too.
The newest map, Dongzhou Island, is heavily featured, from its lush vegetation, to its seascapes, and volcanoes too. This is the newest map and will be launching with 1.0 in addition to the previous map that players had access to during early access and beta. Not only are there seascapes and shorelines, there are different aisles, glaciers, bamboo forest, and places to build, find and gather resources, and grow. On this map, there’s also new boss content and more challenges.
In addition, the team notes that there are hints at upcoming DLC in there too, including future civilizations. After a rocky road, Myth of Empires is ready to go.
There will be modding tools, private and hosted servers, and both PvE and PvP content. There are simulated sieges and challenges that can serve as PVE content but also a way to train and develop your strategy before you head into PVP.
