Thunder Lotus has delayed its upcoming multiplayer action roguelike, 33 Immortals, till 2025, citing a need to address 'unexpected challenges with stability.'
Unveiled during last year's Xbox Games Showcase, 33 Immortals is an upcoming co-op action roguelike that puts players in the role of a damned soul to survive hordes of monsters, fight bosses, and "face the wrath of God in a fight for your eternal life."
After holding playtests earlier this year, developer Thunder Lotus posted on its X page that the team made the decision to delay the game into next year, though it doesn't have a firm date locked down just yet.
"The game needs a little bit more time in the oven before it's ready. We're making great progress, but this year has really flown by," the studio stated on social media. "We still want to iron out a few unexpected challenges with stability and address the valuable feedback we received during testing. "
As part of this statement, the team at Thunder Lotus announced that another playtest opportunity is coming for 33 Immortals "soon" for PC via the Epic Games Store and Xbox, though more details are to come.
