Magic: The Gathering Arena is heading to Mac on June 25, just a few days from now.
The news arrives via Hipsters of the Coast who shared that MTG Arena hits MacOS on June 25. This will coincide with the release of Core Set 2021 at the same time. Note, you’ll only be able to grab the Mac version of the game on the Epic Games Store. Just keep that in mind.
Wizards of the Coast shared additional system requirements for Mac which include:
- OS: macOS X/10 (64-bit Intel)
- Processor: Intel Core i5
- Memory: 4 GB
- Graphics: 1024MB VRAM
- Resolution: 1280 x 720 minimum display resolution
There will be minor differences between the Windows version and the MacOS version, but the experience will largely be identical. Regarding the Epic Games Store exclusivity, WotC shared,
“Simply put, this was the fastest way we could get a native, full-featured macOS client to our players. We have an existing partnership with the Epic Games Store and are working with them to support our macOS release to ensure that players will have the same experience on macOS as they do on Windows sooner rather than later.”
