The latest set in the long line of releases, Magic The Gathering Arena sees Phyrexia All Will Be One drop on the digital card game today ahead of its physical release later this week.

The new Phyrexia All Will Be One set brings new cards and mechanics to the Standard format, such as Toxic which deals normal damage and poison counters to charge into victory. Additionally, Proliferate makes a return to Standard, allowing players to add counters to any player or permanent that has them - including those dreaded poison counters.

Phyrexia has a long history as an antagonistic plane in the Magic Multiverse, and the cards here in Phyrexia All Will Be One continue that theme as the Phyrexians have taken over the former plane of Mirrodin. Hell-bent on "Compleating" everything to absorb into the Phyrexian hive mind, this drive is clearly shown on cards going back as far as Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, which saw the first Compleated Planeswalkers take center stage.

MTG Arena is hosting quite a few events to celebrate the launch of the set, including a reconstructed Historic Brawl event where players can earn Manga Planeswalker card styles as a reward. Other events will include Compleatly Outmatched, the Standard Metagame Challenge, and more.

You can check out the full event schedule details on the official Magic: The Gathering website. And if you're interested in learning more about the metagame for Phyrexia All Will Be One standard, check out the embedded video below.
