Mortal Online 2’s big Unreal Engine 5 update will finally be here tomorrow, and Star Vault is preparing for the game’s biggest update ever.
This will come after four separate PTR tests, including the most recent, which was intended to test some of the slate of optimizations and polish the team added. That patch also helped clean up a ton of bugs, visual glitches, and applied a number of performance optimizations. Those, of course, along with capacity, were some of the focal points of the last test.
The team solicited feedback on that PTR after the additional content and fixes, but also after a mass battle test.
Now, here we are, on the eve of the big update. The Star Vault team promises that this isn’t just a visual update, and if you did take part on the PTS, you’ll have experienced some of that. If you haven't, and you do own the game, you'll be able to try that out tomorrow. Along with the upgrade to Unreal Engine 5, Mortal Online 2 also joins the Epic Games Store.
At the beginning of 2022, Epic Games bestowed the Epic Games MegaGrant upon Star Vault for Mortal Online 2, so this is where all the work to transition the engine has come from.
Now that the big update is nearly ready, there will be a preview stream today at 8 PM CET / 2 PM ET with Star Vault CEO Henrik Nyström over on the Mortal Online 2 Twitch channel. In the stream, we can expect a preview of the patch, see the premiere of the UE 5 patch trailer, and Henrik will also have a usual round of community Q&A.
