Work on Mortal Online 2 continues, and there’s a roadmap update, details on the patch planned for this week, an overview of last week’s stress test, and  more.

Last week’s stress test revealed the source of a major bottleneck issue, so this should lead to improvements as they prioritize fixing this in a patch planned for later this week.

“We want to thank everyone who came to last week’s stress test as it enabled us to identify and lock down a major bottleneck affecting how information is sent across the server. This issue is what caused the long delays in group fights with hundreds of people in the same area.”

As a result, they are planning a patch this week to improve or eliminate this lag and allow the server to accommodate hundreds of people at once in a smoother way.  A fix could also mean that the distance that the server will give you information would be increased and other possible upgrades.

Star Vault is looking for players on Thursday, October 20th, at 7 PM UTC. This is, once again, CEO Henrik’s stream time and he plans to make it to this test after being unable to join last week.

The promised patch is currently in the QA stage undergoing testing and it will address the server lag issue and fix a bunch of bugs. There's also a tease that this patch will contain some "small surprises".

There’s still a roadmap update coming, which will show they've shifted some of their plans. Expect the reveal in time for a stream where Henrik will go through the changes. In the announcement, they made sure to emphasize that the roadmap won't have specific dates, but it will have the order in which the team plans to add certain new content or features.

You can read the full announcement over at Mortal Online 2.
