Mortal Online 2’s latest sprint patch is coming, and Star Vault has just opened a new PTR to help the team polish the update before it launches. This update focuses on the Mastery System, a brand new progression and customization system that the team promises will be an in-depth way to make your character your own.
Once you reach clade level 20, the Glory your character earns will start to contribute to Mastery Experience. Keep racking up this new type of experience to eventually have the potential to unlock 1,000 levels of Mastery. With that, you can earn 110 Mastery points and you can spend those points on over 440 different Mastery Gifts.
As for these gifts, find the ones you wish to unlock, and their branches, in the trees that your clade has access to. Most of the gifts will be shared between all clades, but there may be some slight differences.
Star Vault is adding this complex system to give everyone a chance to personalize their build and with the number of possible combinations, it should add the desired variety. Opening a PTR is a good opportunity to help them out while also getting a taste of how this will all work, the types of gifts, and their impact.
Some parts of Mastery will require items to use. There will be a way to refund points, so if you decide to invest in one of the gifts and it just isn't for you, you can refund it at the cost of one Shard Of Oblivion. In the PTR, they will boost the experience game to make sure everyone can test out the system and will make those additional items available.
There are other things coming in the patch, and included in the PTR, but the focus is on Mastery. Other items excluded from the PTR are a new dungeon and an armor set that needs more work.
