Mortal Online 2’s latest patch adds the Mastery System to the game, a new way to customize your build and make your character fit your playstyle. The patch also adds a new dungeon, a new armor set, and more.
The new update was recently on the PTR for feedback, particularly on the Mastery system. There are 1,000 levels of Mastery and 110 Mastery points to spend. You earn mastery experience once you hit clade level 20. Glory that you earn from that level onward contributes to Mastery. Every time you use a point you will unlock a Mastery gift. Some of these gifts require items to unlock, while most of them just require the points to invest. You invest in something and you just don't like it, you can refund the gift and get your point back for the cost of one Shard of Oblivion.
The 2.0.6 update notes reveal the list of Mastery gift options, and There are many of them to choose from, depending on where you want your points to go. maybe you want to add more strength, constitution, pierced resistance, you might want to increase your health regeneration, or resist to tamed pet damage. You can even increase your maximum health, intelligence, and even the very useful increased free carry weight. These are just a few of the options.
The Mastery system also adds 20 new titles and achievements to unlock, as well as Mastery level leaderboards on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
While the Mastery system is the biggest part of the update, there is a brand new dungeon that was not included in the test build to avoid spoilers. The dungeon, the Shinarian Labyrinth, is explorable in Myrland. The newest craftable armor set, the Kallardian Banded set, is also now available. And you can now ride Wisents. To accommodate this, the pet point and taming costs for Wisents is now closer to those for horses.
The update also “fixed a lot of the holes in the terrain and environment” and other bugs, added a number of balance changes, and more.
