NetherRealm Studios recently dropped the official trailer for Mortal Kombat 1's Invasions Season 2, titled Season of the Blood Moon.
In the update, an alternate timeline version of Nitara attacks the realms with the aim of taking control from the Vaeternians. The season introduces eight new Mesas, starting with the Fire Temple. Players can unlock exciting skins by conquering various stages, featuring characters like Krimson Slayer Ashrah, Starving Beast Baraka, and more with a blood-themed aesthetic.
Additionally, new challenges await players, including hazards like a vicious chainsaw-wielding squirrel riding what appears to be a Roomba. Boss fights against The Konqueror Shao, Blood Thirsty Nitara, and others are added, too.
More recently, NRS added The Invincible’s Omni-Man to the roster as part of the game’s November 9 update for those who own the Premium edition or Kombat pack. Omni-Man will be available to all MK1 players beginning on November 16.
Invasions Season 2 isn’t the only new content coming to Mortal Kombat 1 this month. NetherRealm Studios also recently showed off a new Thanksgiving Fatality gruesome enough to have you throwing up your Thanksgiving Dinner.
Invasions Season 2 is now available for Mortal Kombat 1 on all platforms and will run through December 11.
