Fans of the competitive side of Overwatch will be pleased to hear of a number of improvements to make watching matches better. Jeff Kaplan outlined what each will bring to the game. These improvements include a top-down interactive map that "makes their job (observers and casters) a lot easier to relay information to you guys and make for a better broadcast".
Other new features coming to make viewing competitive Overwatch more fun include:
- Team uniforms/team color palettes
- Third person smart camera
- Kill feed replays
- Automated tournament interface
- Auto-pauses during disconnects
