Diablo IV’s open beta is coming, with the Early Access phase happening this weekend. Blizzard keeps releasing new details, including when you can start to preload the game, as well as some more stuff to know about  the beta.

If you pre-ordered the game or you otherwise have access to the Early Access beta, then you can preload the game starting on Wednesday, March 15th  at 9:00 AM PDT/ 12 PM EDT. If you are only playing in the public open beta  the following weekend, your preload availability will start on Wednesday, March 22nd at the same time.

If you are participating in both weekends, you'll only have to download it once. Console players outside of Germany won't have to have Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus subscriptions to participate in the beta weekends. They wil be required after launch.

On March 17th, the official  Diablo IV forums will open, including for beta discussion, bug reports, community interaction, and feedback.

Ahead of the full open beta next weekend, the Diablo IV team will host a community livestream starting at 11 AM PDT. Join the devs for an inside look, tips, and more to get the ball rolling on your demon-hunting and slaying adventures.

On March 18th at 10 AM, 12 PM,10 PM , and midnight PDT, you’ll be able to challenge the world boss Ashavain Fractured Peaks. There will be three more chances on March 25th during the general open beta, at those same times.

Even if you already started in the Early Access weekend, this will be a kickoff to another weekend of possible playtime, during which there will be another couple of classes–Druid and Necromancer–added to the three that will be available to try during Early Access beta. Those will beBarbarian, Rogue, and Sorcerer. Maybe you’ll start to feel the itch to create some alts. The beta weekends will allow up to 10 per account. These will all be deleted after beta ends, so it’s a chance to just try as much as you can.

Read all of the details, including the newly added info, over at Diablo IV.
