Monsters & Memories announced a new technical stress test intended to help the team test server stability and various netcode improvements. For those who have some time this weekend, the test is set to begin at 1 pm Eastern this Saturday, December 21st and last for up to eight hours.
There will be one PVE server on the East Coast available. If you have characters from the previous stress test, they’ll be there to use this time around so you don't have to start over.
Since this is a technical stress test, the usual caveats and warnings apply because they're trying to see if things break and hoping that they don’t. So, there may be patches, downtime, restarts, or even an end to the test. If they need to do anything drastic, the Niche Worlds Cult team’s plan is always to schedule another one soon after.
As the team explained in one of their fall development updates, they have planned a couple of tests before 2025 arrives and they begin a new phase ahead of their planned 2026 Early Access. They had a brief test at the end of November and this new one is set to run longer and get in under that 2024 goal.
