If you’ve got some time on November 30th, Monsters and Memories is getting a new technical stress test on that date.
This will be a brief test, running a maximum of four hours, with the purpose of testing server stability and netcode improvements. Things will kick off at 1:00 p.m. Eastern and will end no later than 5:00 p.m.
Since it is a very brief test with a focused purpose, there will be one PVE server on the East coast, and there will be no access to characters created in previous tests. Everyone is jumping in new, trying to break things, and hoping they hold. So if you want to jump in, pile up on the server and see how well it holds up, you can register for the test here.
As usual, with the game in early development and heading towards a planned Early Access sometime in 2026, some things will be broken, and it's a technical stress test so stability issues are likely enough. If things are so bad that they need to patch the game in the middle of the session, that's a possibility. It's also possible that they might just end the test in the middle of the planned time and hold another one a couple of days or weeks later.
The Niche Worlds Cult team recently updated on development progress and expressed a desire to have another playtest before the end of the year. Next year marks the beginning of more in-depth work to get things on the path to that Early Access release. So, aside from this technical test, we may still see another playtest in the coming weeks.
