The beta itself will give players a chance to create a character (which can be transferred to your launch version later this month), as well as new hunts, and the inclusion of the "game's flagship monster" as the media alert calls it, the Arkveld.
The Monster Hunter Wilds open beta will also have its online features enabled, with private lobbies and even online single player modes enabled to test the servers ahead of the global launch. It's important to note that while the open beta is playable on the PlayStation 5 Pro, it won't have any Pro-specific features. However, the full launch will feature PS5 Pro Enhanced features when it releases.
Monster Hunter Wilds is the next evolution of the hugely popular Monster Hunter series. Combining the spectacle of high-flying combat, giant and unique monsters, in-depth open world as well as compelling RPG progression, Monster Hunter Wilds aims to be a compelling entry in the mainline series. We went hands-on back during the Tokyo Game Show last fall, with our writer Jason coming away quite impressed by what Capcom was building.
