GameStatistics is a small French company that has been tracking French players' satisfaction with MMO launches from 2012 through 2014. Players were asked about their overall satisfaction about both MMORPG and MMOFPS games and include SWTOR, Guild Wars 2, Neverwinter, Wakfu, PlanetSide 2, Defiance, Final Fantasy XIV, Elder Scrolls Online and WildStar.
Players were asked:
- about overall satisfaction with the game
- how long they intended to play it
- satisfaction about specific components of the game (music, visuals, etc.)
- satisfaction about specific mechanics (lag, balance, classes, etc.)
- type of game purchased
- demographics
According to the surveys collected for all of the titles released during the time indicated above, the survey discovered that, overall, players were most satisfied with the launch experiences in Guild Wars 2, PlanetSide 2 and Final Fantasy XIV.
