Minethon is a 72-hour marathon featuring Minecraft that will directly benefit the Able Gamers Foundation. Players pledging $2.99 or more on the Minethon site will gain access to a special 1,000 player server where special events, contests, and visits from Minecraft celebrities will take place throughout the three day event.
The ceaseless volunteers for MineThon, lead by Ethan Smith, will be streaming their last 72-Hour marathon in MineCraft. Starting July 25th at 5am EST, the MineThon team begin their marathon on their new 1,000 person MineCraft server donated by CreeperHost. MineThon will feature raffles, auctions, and guest appearances from Minecraft celebrities. Visting www.minethon.com and donating $2.99 or more to AbleGamers will give access to the server, allowing viewers to play alongside the MineThon streamers.
“The outpouring of support from the MineThon stream and community over the years has been overwhelming,” said Steven Spohn, Chief Operations Officer of AbleGamers Charity. “Between the raffles, special guests, mini-games, and auctions, there's no shortage of exciting events happening over the 72 hours.”
