In October 2018, Blizzard Entertainment's long-time president Mike Morhaime announced that he was vacating his position but continue to provide "strategic advice to the company". In a new filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission in Delaware, Activision-Blizzard has announced that Morhaime is severing his ties completely. His last listed day of service at ATVI is April 7, 2019, a scant 5 months after being named a strategic advisor.

As previously disclosed, on October 3, 2018 Michael Morhaime entered into an agreement with Activision Blizzard, Inc. (the “Company”) pursuant to which he would provide strategic advice to the Company in an advisory capacity. Mr. Morhaime’s employment with the Company as a strategic advisor will conclude on April 7, 2019.
Morhaime has been a popular force within Blizzard Entertainment and is one of the original founders of the company that was formed in 1991. After the announcement of his departure, J. Allen Brack was named as the new president of Blizzard.
