The community team for Once Human popped into a Dev Stream in anticipation for its 1.2 launch next week, answering questions and getting more into detail about upcoming new features for the patch.

The Once Human team got a little more into the new team PvP mode, Prismaversus Clash, that’ll come out with 1.2. The devs say that this PvP mode will offer more rewards and XP for joining than the standard open-world does, so players can hop right in and be immediately rewarded.

A pre-recorded video gets a little more into it: Players progress for their team by gathering energy for their bases, and specific deviations can be earned by engaging in the contest zones. There’ll be 19-day phases, and you can join marked areas on the map in order to join, including building estates throughout. Dying won’t cause you to drop your loot, so you can join frequently without fear of losing progress—basically, it just seems like it’s just to add excitement with pure rewards.

The ranching system introduced in Once Human 1.1 will be expanded, including new mating capabilities that’ll make new animals according to the traits of the parents. There’ll be a few new animals that can be kept on the ranches: capybaras, leopards, and flamingos.

If you’re feeling creative about the world of Once Human, you can write up a scenario for a possibility to be included—and a chance at $1,500 USD. Once Human is an open sandbox of lore in regards to possibilities, so it seems a good chance to inject your headcanons in an official capacity.

Also, at the beginning, some player questions were answered; character deletion is in the works but not soon, and new furniture is coming soon, as well as a new reporting system for bad behavior. There were some cool preview animation videos at the start, too, that I hope the team releases in full.

Once Human Version 1.2 seems to be planned for September 26, based on the pre-recorded PvP video. A technical test for the mobile edition is ongoing, but the North American registration has apparently been capped and is closed.
