Tower of Fantasy’s next simulacrum has been revealed. Umi, an Executor in Mirroria, and her weapon, Mobius, will be out on February 23rd.
Following major content releases and the expansion of the terrain in Tower of Fantasy, as well as new things to do, Umi will add to the roster you can choose from for your team. She uses a long, whip-like weapon, Mobius, and she’s known as an upbeat outpost guard. When it’s time to get into the action, we get to see how her ambitions and style work in her favor. Umi was glimpsed in the trailer for the Wandering Amidst Miasma update, and at that time, was the character with purple eyes (including one that looks like an embedded flower, and bunny-like ears.
In her intro, she’s also called optimistic, but unlucky, and she aspires to be a magician. So you can expect some of this flavor. Umi’s own trailer features her attempts at magic tricks, along with both a black cat, and danger in the form of creatures to defeat. There, we get to see Umi and Mobius in action, with playing card suits and cards playing a role, along with some of the fast whip action combat that we’ll learn more about soon, particularly when her full showcase is out and abilities revealed.
The trailer also expands a bit on the lore and mysteries that Tower of Fantasy offers, with the appearance of the cat and the battle, after which Umi is triumphant, only for the cat to reappear, troubled and defensive. There’s something going on behind Umi, and it doesn’t look good. Finally, a card is in her hand, and that causes the cat to continue letting us all know that there’s no good in that trick.
