Medieval Dynasty, the survival life sim game set in the Medieval era, has finally launched its long-awaited co-op mode to close out 2023. With t is a new map, the Oxbow, for players to explore together.
Developer Render Cube and publisher Toplitz Productions made the announcement this morning, stating that the new co-op map mode is now available for Steam players on PC. The new map can be played either solo or in co-op, with the new Pisatovia region at its core. The new mode also comes with a bevy of new audio and visual tweaks to enhance the game's "depth and authenticity."
The new mode also brings its character creator, allowing players to customize their avatar's hair, eye color, and more. The new region gives players plenty of new quests, room to build, craft, and more to fill out their medieval adventure.
Currently the update is only rolling out for Steam players on PC, with other PC players, and current-gen console players left in the cold. The developers promise an update on a release date, but are expecting it to be Q1 or Q2 2024.
In an update on their Steam page, the developers have also given a peak at the current roadmap, with Armor, crests and Shields (and more) planned in 2024. The page also details the patch 2.0 notes, which gives new life into the NPCs by adding facial expressions for them, new names for the NPCs themselves, and more.
We reviewed Medieval Dynasty back in 2021 when it launched on PC and while we felt it was good overall, with our reviewer Emily praising the complex systems at play, gorgeous world and more, it did have some disappointing quirks, such as the lack of a character creator, lackluster NPCs, and tedious back and forth.
